I too have found value in the bicep stretch you highlighted. One pointer is to instruct the individuals NOT to ‘roll their shoulders forward’, aka anterior translation, when completing this stretch. I have found a thumbs down position provides a beneficial stretch also. What a great reminder to pull on those stretches that we have been taught (many moons ago for some of us…). I’m a firm believer that education is the foundation for all we do and the cornerstone for the impact that we can have on people that cross our paths. Great challenge to all of us to NOT stop learning!
Bill:
Thanks for the opportunity to review some basic rehab skills. Sometimes we all get a little tunnell vision when we do things for our athletes, clients, or patients. Sometimes it takes having the dust knocked off to see the entire picture once again. I look forward to reading your blog from time to time.
Great content Bill.
Really enjoyed this & will send a lot of other folks your way!
Happy New Year,
Craig Liebenson
Thanks Craig. Appreciate it.
Hope to be a little more consistent in the new year.
Take care,
